First, thanks for stopping by my writing blog.
I am an aspiring author, as you might be also since you are here. This blog is the result of the never ending quest to learn more about the art and craft of writing. Once in awhile it will be a rant, but most of the time I hope the posts here will be useful to you on your journey in becoming a published author.
I am currently working on a nonfiction book titled There’s Something Deep Inside, but I hope to expand into fiction as well; maybe even a children’s book is in me too.
If you want to email me regarding any of the information here, or report a broken link, please email me at baddogmooney@gmail.com .
Later,
Chris Mooney

Hi Chris,
I am surfing the internet because I am investigating publishers and publishing in general. My husband and I self-published a book this past May and for my second book I’d like to try to find a publisher. Not so easily done apparently.

My name is Melinda Priebe. Father God has restored my artistic and writing talent after a traumatic head injury took both of them away. I am currently writing two books. One is a children’s book which I am also illustrating. My other book is geared towards young adult and adult readers.
It took me 10 years to relearn how to read something other then books geared for young children. My manuscript geared for adults is nearly finished, but I need help getting a few things to flow correctly. This is not writer’s block. I know what is taking place, but the head trauma has placed a few huge pot holes in my writer’s path. It is my prayer that a willing experienced Christian writer, editor or company would be willing to help me fill in the pot holes so I can continue to write what God has given me.
Sincerely:
Melinda

Hi, this is a wonderful idea! I am a first-time-writer with a ready non-fiction script and I am looking for a traditional publisher who does not charge the author a fee but takes care of everything, including marketing of the book, etc. I am going to visit the sites you have kindly made available above, but would also appreciate any assistance or a pointer in the right direction. I have read all about self-publishing, publish-on-demand, etc, but I prefer the traditional approach. Thank you and God bless you.

wonderful site. thanks! It looks like Abingdon is now taking unsolicited writers for non-fiction. it was a little confusing, but that was my understanding from their website.

sorry, found another. Barbour says no unsolicited for fiction…but doesn’t mention non-fiction. I guess that means they are still accepting unsolicited for nf?
